FAQs
The best 3.0 Ecodiesel Delete Kit depends on your specific vehicle configuration and goals. Consider whether you need full system removal, which includes DPF, DEF, and EGR components, or if an individual kit targeting a specific system meets your needs. Compatibility with your model year and intended application are critical deciding factors.
A tuner is essential post-installation to recalibrate the engine control module (ECM) for optimal operation without emissions components like the Catalytic Converter. Custom tuning ensures proper air-fuel ratio, maximizes efficiency, and safeguards engine components now unencumbered by certain emissions equipment.
Yes, delete kits can improve fuel economy typically in the range of 5% to 12%. By removing restrictive emissions systems like DPF and EGR, the engine can perform more efficiently, reducing unnecessary diesel consumption during regeneration cycles.
No, delete kits are not street-legal for road use in most regions. They're intended for off-road or race use only. Regulations vary by state and country, so it’s essential to understand local laws before purchasing and installing these kits.
Yes, installation can be done by a mechanically inclined DIY enthusiast over a weekend with basic tools. However, access to a lift can facilitate the process, making it cleaner and more straightforward. Consider seeking professional help if unfamiliar with diesel engines.

Everything went smoothly and required about six hours total.
Installation was extremely easy and everything lined up correctly. Would avoid running the 60hp daily tune on an EcoDiesel.
Overall performance is excellent. During exhaust install I noticed only one bell end was included instead of two, but I was able to fabricate a sleeve. More tune-specific info would be helpful, but otherwise very satisfied.
I tackled this install myself without being a professional mechanic. The difference was noticeable immediately. The amount of guidance provided made the process manageable, and following instructions closely makes all the difference.
This completely transformed my truck. Fuel economy improved by about 8 MPG and I only regret not doing it sooner.
