Description

Bench Flash Delete Tuning is a professional ECM programming service for 2014–2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee models equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine. Instead of using an OBD programmer or handheld device, the original ECM is removed from the vehicle, shipped for bench programming, and returned with the selected fixed calibration installed.

Four tuning options are available, ranging from stock horsepower to +75 HP. Each is a single-file emissions-off calibration designed for a specific performance level.

What’s Included

Component / Service Description
Professional ECM Bench Flash Your original ECM is programmed directly on the bench with the selected calibration. No handheld programmer or mobile tuning device is required.
Selected Tune Calibration Choose Economy, Stock Plus, Race, or Max depending on the desired horsepower level and vehicle use.
ECM Return Service The programmed original ECM is returned for reinstallation in the vehicle after the bench-flash process is completed.
ECM Preparation & Installation Guidance Instructions cover vehicle preparation, ECM removal, shipment, and reinstallation requirements.

Emissions hardware and exhaust components are separate from this tuning service.

Vehicle Compatibility

This Jeep Grand Cherokee tuning service is intended specifically for:

Specification Fitment
Years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
Make Jeep
Model Grand Cherokee
Engine 3.0L EcoDiesel V6
Body Style SUV
Fuel Type Diesel

The service requires removal and shipment of the vehicle’s original ECM. It is not an OBD-II flash tuner or a multi-vehicle programmer.

How work?

The 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee delete tuning process begins by preparing the vehicle and removing its original ECM/PCM. The module is shipped for professional bench programming, where the selected Economy, Stock Plus, Race, or Max calibration is written directly to it. Once programming is complete, the ECM is returned and reinstalled in the vehicle. Because this is a fixed single-file calibration, there is no SOTF switching between horsepower levels while driving.

Features

The 2014-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Bench-Flash tuning service eliminates the need to purchase and operate a separate handheld programmer. Four calibrated power options allow the setup to remain at stock horsepower or increase engine output by +30, +50, or +75 HP.

All four available calibrations are designed for the corresponding emissions-off configuration. The original ECM is professionally programmed outside the vehicle, making this a dedicated bench-flash service rather than a remote or mobile tuning platform.

Tuning & Settings

Four fixed tune levels are available:

Tune Level Power Increase Configuration
Economy Stock Power Emissions OFF
Stock Plus +30 HP Emissions OFF
Race +50 HP Emissions OFF
Max +75 HP Emissions OFF

Economy retains the factory horsepower level while providing the required calibration for the corresponding emissions-off setup. Stock Plus adds 30 HP for a moderate performance upgrade, Race increases output by 50 HP, and Max provides the highest listed increase at 75 HP.

Key Benefits

Four Power Options
Choose Stock Power, +30 HP, +50 HP, or +75 HP according to the desired performance level.

No Handheld Tuner Required
The Jeep Grand Cherokee DPF delete tuning is written directly to the ECM, so no permanent OBD programmer or mobile interface is needed.

Dedicated EcoDiesel Calibration
The available files are designed for the supported 2014–2019 3.0L EcoDiesel platform and its corresponding off-road emissions configuration.

Up to +75 HP
The Max tune provides the highest listed horsepower increase, while less aggressive options are available for drivers who do not need maximum power.

Professional Bench Programming
The ECM is programmed outside the vehicle using a dedicated bench-flash process rather than relying on an owner-installed software tool.

Installation Information

Before using 3.0 Jeep Grand Cherokee tuning for DPF delete, the vehicle must be properly prepared. Complete a full DPF regeneration before removing the ECM. Existing engine or maintenance lights, diagnostic trouble codes, DEF/DPF countdowns, derate conditions, and SCR-related faults should also be resolved before tuning.

If the ECM already contains an aftermarket calibration, return it to the appropriate stock software before removal. Switch the ignition off and disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing the module.

The original ECM is then shipped for programming. We supply a prepaid shipping label and cover standard shipping costs, while any brokerage fees (rare) are the customer’s responsibility. Allow roughly 4-6 business days for processing after the unit arrives, plus 2-3 days for return transit. Bench flashing may involve extra troubleshooting and testing, so timelines can vary with workload and technical requirements. If keeping your vehicle off the road as briefly as possible is the priority, our tuner option is the better choice.

The bench flash is the electronic tuning portion of the modification. Required DPF/DEF exhaust hardware or other physical off-road parts are not included unless purchased separately.
Please Note: Your prepaid shipping label remains valid for 60 days after issuance. Kindly ensure you ship your ECM within this timeframe. If your label expires before you can send the package, reach out to us for a replacement prior to shipping.

FAQ

The calibration addresses supported ECU strategies for the intended emissions-off configuration, but it should not be used to repair existing vehicle faults. Engine codes, maintenance warnings, DEF/DPF countdowns, derate conditions, and SCR-module faults should be diagnosed and resolved before the ECM is removed and programmed.

Physical hardware changes and ECU calibration work together. Removing restrictive emissions hardware while leaving the factory ECU software unchanged can cause diagnostic codes, warnings, derate conditions, and other operating problems. The correct calibration should match the vehicle’s final hardware configuration.

Yes. Instructions cover the required vehicle preparation as well as ECM removal, shipment, and reinstallation procedures. Following the preparation steps is especially important before the original module is sent for programming.

Bench programming typically requires approximately 4–6 business days after the ECM arrives. Allow approximately 2–3 additional business days for return shipping. Total turnaround also depends on how long it takes to ship the ECM to the programming facility.

Owners with the appropriate mechanical skills can remove and reinstall the ECM by following the supplied procedure. The actual bench programming is completed by the tuning service. If you are not comfortable disconnecting the battery, accessing the ECM, or safely removing and reinstalling an electronic control module, professional assistance is recommended.

Performance depends on the selected calibration. Economy maintains stock horsepower, Stock Plus adds 30 HP, Race adds 50 HP, and Max provides up to 75 HP. The selected tune changes the engine calibration for its intended performance level, while specific torque or fuel-economy gains can vary with vehicle condition, hardware, load, and operating conditions.
