What We Sell for This Engine

  • Full Delete Kits – Two Ford 6.0 Powerstroke delete kit options for 2003-2007. Both include a tuner, EGR & cooler delete hardware, and stainless steel exhaust system. The 6.0L is a pre-DPF diesel engine – there’s no diesel particulate filter to remove. These kits focus on EGR removal and exhaust upgrades.
  • Ford 6.0 EGR Delete Kit – EGR & cooler delete with stainless steel up-pipe included. Block-off plates, coolant caps, gaskets, and mounting hardware. The up-pipe eliminates the cracked factory up-pipe problem and opens airflow to the turbo. This is the most popular 6.0 Powerstroke egr delete kit on the platform – solves the EGR cooler ruptures that cause coolant contamination and blown head gaskets.
  • DPF Delete Tuners – Two 6.0 Powerstroke tuner for egr delete options on this page – and these are the only 6.0 Powerstroke tuners we stock for Ford trucks. H&S Mini Maxx is a Plug & Play tuner that handles ECM calibration via OBD-II. Bully Dog BDX offers its own delete calibrations with an optional Sensor Docking Station for expanded monitoring. Both support EGR-related calibration removal while adding horsepower and torque through custom tuning. No DPF delete kits needed on this platform – there’s no factory DPF to remove.
  • Exhaust Systems – 4-inch and 5-inch Turbo-Back stainless steel exhaust systems for 2003-2007. All bolts, clamps, and hangers included. These are full exhaust system replacements from the turbo outlet back – the high-quality parts that open up airflow and deliver real fuel economy gains. Available with or without muffler at checkout.
  • Performance Accessories – S&B cold air intake for the Ford Powerstroke diesel. FASS fuel pump for injector protection and engine reliability. Stainless steel up-pipes (standalone, separate from the EGR kit). Oil cooler for coolant system protection – the factory oil cooler is a known failure point on the 6.0L. Coolant filter kit for additional filtration. Black Bandit exhaust tip. Standalone 4-inch and 5-inch T409 stainless steel universal diesel mufflers and delete pipes for race builds.

FAQ

The 6.0L responds well to an EGR delete and tuner combination. Removing the EGR system drops intake temperatures and cleans up the air charge - the turbo system operates with less exhaust heat recirculation through the intake. With a performance tune, most owners see +30-80 horsepower gains depending on the calibration. Torque climbs noticeably in the mid-range where it matters most for acceleration and pulling.

You'll typically see improved fuel economy because the engine isn't recirculating hot exhaust through the intake anymore. The turbo spools cleaner, the combustion cycle operates more efficiently with reduced exhaust heat recirculation. Most owners report 1-3 MPG improvement on highway. Short-trip city driving shows less difference, but throttle response still improves.

The factory tow rating doesn't change - that's set by the frame, axle, and transmission. What does change is how the engine behaves under load. EGTs drop, the turbo responds faster, and the engine doesn't struggle as hard pulling grades. The 6.0L already makes strong torque from the factory. Deleting the EGR and upgrading the exhaust lets it deliver that torque more consistently under sustained towing.

The EGR delete with up-pipe is the most involved part of the job. The up-pipes run between the exhaust manifolds and the turbo pedestal - tight clearance on both sides, and the head bolts are right there. Plan for a full day if you're doing the EGR and exhaust together. The exhaust system itself is a straightforward bolt-on from underneath. Every kit ships with detailed install instructions, and we're on the phone if you hit a snag.

Any 2003-2007 6.0L Powerstroke is well past its original factory warranty - most are 18+ years old now. For the rare truck with remaining extended coverage, any modification to the factory emission system can give the dealer grounds to deny related claims. For the vast majority of 6.0L owners, warranty isn't a factor anymore.

These products are sold strictly for off-road and competition use only. Federal emissions regulations prohibit removing or disabling factory emissions equipment on vehicles driven on public roads. Enforcement varies by state - check your local laws before purchasing or installing.
