Description

The EFI Live AutoCal V3 is a custom tuning platform for 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 GM/Chevy trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax LMM diesel engine. Unlike a universal pre-loaded programmer, AutoCal V3 works with vehicle-specific tune files prepared for the truck’s configuration.

For LMM applications, custom tuning supports the factory DPF and EGR emissions architecture and the corresponding off-road configuration. The LMM predates the DEF/SCR system, so no factory DEF equipment is present on these trucks.

What’s Included

Component Description
EFI Live AutoCal V3 The handheld interface used to read, flash, and manage vehicle-specific calibration files. It also supports diagnostic and data-logging functions.
Custom Engine Tune Calibration prepared for the LMM engine and the vehicle information supplied with the order rather than a generic pre-loaded tune.
SOTF Tune Package Supported pickup configurations provide five selectable engine power settings from stock output to +150 HP.
TCM Tune Transmission calibration is included with the DieselR/GDP tuning configuration and works with the Allison transmission to complement increased engine torque.
Connection Hardware Required AutoCal connection hardware allows communication with the truck during reading, flashing, and diagnostic operations.
Installation Instructions A guide is provided for connecting AutoCal V3, supplying the required vehicle information, and completing the tuning procedure.

Vehicle Compatibility

  • Years: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
  • Make: Chevrolet / GMC
  • Engine: 6.6L Duramax LMM diesel
  • Models: Silverado HD / Sierra HD
  • Pickup applications: Supported with SOTF tuning
  • Cab & Chassis applications: Separate single-tune calibration
  • Factory emissions equipment: DPF and EGR
  • Factory DEF/SCR: Not equipped
  • Tuning platform: EFI Live AutoCal V3
  • Tune type: Custom vehicle-specific files
  • Application: Off-road configurations

Correct vehicle information is important because the tune must fit the exact engine, transmission, body style, tire size, and relevant performance parts rather than using one universal calibration.

How work?

The 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 GM Duramax LMM delete tuner connects to the truck and loads a custom calibration prepared for its specific configuration. The software modifies the required engine and emissions strategies for the corresponding off-road DPF and EGR setup while retaining normal engine control and diagnostic functions outside the modified systems. Pickup applications can use multiple performance levels, while Cab & Chassis trucks use a separate single-tune configuration. The result is a calibration designed to work with the LMM engine and its selected hardware instead of forcing a generic tune onto every truck.

Features

The LMM delete tuner uses EFI Live’s vehicle-specific calibration approach, allowing the tune to be matched to the truck instead of relying on fixed universal programming. Pickup applications provide five power levels and can combine engine tuning with TCM calibration for the Allison transmission.

AutoCal V3 also provides logging and diagnostic functionality, making the device useful beyond the initial flash. The tuner can receive provider-supplied calibration files and revisions while remaining tied to its intended tuning workflow.

Tuning & Settings

For a supported LMM pickup, the DieselR/GDP SOTF configuration provides the following engine power settings:

Tune Level Power Increase Application
Stock 0 HP Stock-output calibration
Level 1 +30 HP Mild power increase
Level 2 +80 HP Moderate performance setting
Level 3 +120 HP Higher-output calibration
Level 4 +150 HP Maximum listed pickup setting

These are the power levels for this tuning configuration. They should not be mixed with EFI Live files from other calibration providers that use different horsepower increments.

Transmission & Body-Style Settings

Configuration Tune Type Engine Levels TCM
Pickup SOTF 0 / +30 / +80 / +120 / +150 HP Yes
Cab & Chassis Single 0 / +60 HP Yes

The Cab & Chassis calibration is therefore not the same as the five-level pickup package. Body style must be identified correctly when ordering.

TCM tuning changes transmission calibration rather than adding another advertised engine horsepower level. It is intended to coordinate Allison transmission behavior with the increased engine torque produced by the selected tune.

Key Benefits

Vehicle-Specific Custom Tuning
The LMM Duramax DPF delete tuner uses files prepared for the individual vehicle rather than one generic calibration for every LMM.

Five Pickup Power Levels
Supported pickups receive settings from 0 to +150 HP, providing several options for different operating requirements.

Dedicated Cab & Chassis Calibration
C&C trucks receive their own single 0 / +60 HP configuration instead of an incompatible pickup SOTF file.

Engine and Transmission Calibration
TCM tuning complements the custom engine tune and allows the transmission calibration to be matched to increased torque.

Diagnostics and Data Logging
AutoCal V3 supports useful diagnostic and logging functions in addition to reading and flashing custom calibration files.

Installation Information

The LMM Duramax tuner with DPF delete connects electronically to the truck for calibration reading and flashing. Accurate vehicle information should be supplied before tuning, including VIN, model year, body style, engine, transmission, tire size, and relevant modifications.

A compatible computer with EFI Live software may be required for portions of the tuning workflow, depending on the supplied files and instructions. Stable battery voltage is important whenever the ECM or TCM is being flashed. The programming process should not be interrupted once a controller flash has started.

The AutoCal V3 handles the software side of the upgrade; physical exhaust or EGR components require separate mechanical installation with appropriate tools and diesel repair experience.

FAQ

The Efi Live Duramax LMM delete tuner uses the appropriate custom calibration for the corresponding off-road DPF and EGR configuration, preventing warnings caused specifically by correctly removed supported emissions components. Normal diagnostics remain available for unrelated engine, transmission, turbocharger, fuel-system, wiring, and sensor faults.

Supported LMM pickups receive five settings: 0, +30, +80, +120, and +150 HP. Cab & Chassis trucks use a different single-tune setup with 0 / +60 HP rather than the pickup power-level package.

The original factory calibration should be read and retained as part of the EFI Live workflow when instructed. Returning a truck completely to its original configuration also requires restoring any factory emissions or exhaust components that were physically removed.

Programming time depends on the vehicle, controller, file, and required flashing procedure. Follow the supplied instructions, maintain stable battery voltage, and do not disconnect the AutoCal or interrupt the required ignition sequence during a controller flash.

Support is provided for the purchased tuning package and its calibration workflow. AutoCal also allows the appropriate provider to supply compatible tune files or revisions when required.

The Efi Live LMM Duramax tuning process can be completed by a customer who is comfortable following EFI Live instructions and working with calibration files. Mechanical DPF, EGR, exhaust, or other component removal should be handled by someone with the appropriate tools and diesel experience.
